About us

A note from the Founders

The Chandra Shekhar & Jai Rani Foundation is more than an institution- it is a continuation of values we have grown up witnessing and believing in.
Named in the honour of our grandparents, whose lives reflected dignity, integrity, and quiet strength, the foundation carries forward a legacy of service that was never performative, but deeply lived. Their belief in fairness, compassion, and responsibility towards society continues to guide our vision.
Coming from a family with a long-standing association with public service, administration, and governance, we have had the privilege of understanding both the possibilities and the gaps within systems. This exposure shaped not only our perspective, but also our sense of responsibility-to contribute in ways that are meaningful, structured, and enduring.
The foundation was born from this intersection of personal values and public purpose. Our work focuses on creating access-access to education, to emotional well-being, to opportunities that enable individuals to lead lives of dignity and self-reliance. We strongly believe that real change is not created through isolated efforts, but through thoughtful, consistent, and community-driven interventions.
While our roots are personal, our vision is collective.
We are committed to building initiatives that are empathetic in approach, robust in design, and scalable in impact so that the work we begin today continues to create value for generations to come.
This foundation is, in essence, our way of carrying forward a legacy, not just of where we come from, but of what we choose to stand for.
